Suzie's Seagrass
Suzie's Seagrass is the story of a manatee who goes on an adventure with her mom and brother to find their favorite food, seagrass! In the front part of the book, Kelsey explains how manatees and their primary food source, seagrass, are in danger and she gives solutions that could hopefully recover them both. A portion of the proceeds go to nonprofit organizations that protect the threatened manatees and seagrass.

Kelsey Sweetland is 14 years old. This is her second published children's book. Kelsey's mission for Elliot the Egret is to bring awareness to the issues facing birds and their habitats. She also wants children and parents to grow a deeper affinity for our birds and nature. In Elliot the Egret you can see the current problems facing birds all over the world.
The generation reading this book is going to inherit a planet that is guided by the decisions that we make today. If we can start spreading awareness about birds and their environments we can begin to address them and change the future of planet Earth.
